Honestly chess is pattern recognition, the more examples chcekmates more you can remember and the better you get, so just pick up the book if you want memorize check mating patterns to a greater extent.

In short I have read through the book and it is decent enough for the price, though it isn’t the most original book out there. Want to Read Currently Reading Read. I ordered that one and am still waiting on it. Five stars, but too queen sacs.
