Plimer has done an excellent job with this book and writes with understanding, without hype and gives a thorough discourse of Earth’s history, the climate and the forces and factors facing our planet today.

Every school kid knows more about it than those antique idiots called geologists. The melting of the cryosphere ice, a feedback process where melt water re-melts ice, with consequent loss of the ice albedo and gain of infrared absorption by wateris as important as the feedback warming process due to the carbon cycle.
I can stretch it out over 7 or 8 years however without the dire consequences I described ever taking place. I have been at geology for four decades now, getting ever more confused about the fiendish sense of humour of so many geological processes, so I absolutely guarantee heavven is full of errors.

Me, I will defend donkeys to the death, but the goats! Your completely right, which is why I still defend my right to beleive the world is flat. Plenty of people eg Jared Diamond, John Gribbin have written books that lay people cna understand. It is this cumulative effect that is the problem.

Your objection is insignificant nitpicking. But more significantly, the final point on his graph is a long way from where it should be. Unfortunately, that history is not known to nearly the same level of detail in which it is presented.
Book was well referenced and discussed some of the same data used by activest but realy did not show the definitive conclusion reported by media.
