How was that experience for you guys, working on music and specifically the songwriting part of things with these big Swedish music figures? Yeah, we had a great time, it was very social, pretty much hanging out. I think we wrote the song in one day, basically. Martens by covering them.

That got me thinking: Kind of a standard answer, but mine is Nirvana. Yeah, the album I always go back to is Goo by Sonic Youth.
Is it cool to see someone else play around with your music like that, to turn it into something else, something new?
Yeah, you get to see how they see the song, because I know how I see it. To make sure that people take the music as seriously as you do? Yeah, the image is important, definitely. And we love to play with it.
People should focus on the music. Yeah, we are a band after all! If I gave you a button that would play a certain song any time you wanted, at a bar, club, car, bus, wherever, what song would you choose?
But it would be nice to be able to play whenever I wanted. I think much of their recorded work is too fussed over, but when I saw them live and their sound was more stripped down out of necessity, emphasizing their powerful songwriting, I thought they were wonderful. Perhaps the same fate awaits me with Fun. The album peaked at 71 on the U. Fun began its first North American tour on November 8,opening for Jack's Mannequin  as well as opening for them again in Februaryfollowed by their first U.

On November 7,the band announced that their next album would be titled Some Nights. Ruess states he is "over the moon about what you're about to hear and falling asleep knowing that as soon as I wake up, this will no longer be a dream.
This makes Fun the first multi-member rock band to have a No. This is a general audience who've bought tickets before they even knew we were on the bill.

The show sold out within two hours and overfans packed the park for what was Queen's final live performance with Mercury. In spite of Mercury's illness, the band decided to continue making albums, starting with The Miracle released in the summer of and continuing with Innuendo released at the beginning of Despite his deteriorating health, the lead singer continued to contribute. For the last two albums made while Mercury was still alive, the band credited all songs to Queen, rather than specific members of the group, freeing them of internal conflict and differences. Throughoutmedia reports persisted that Mercury was seriously ill, but the singer continued to deny that these reports were true.
